Sunday Shopping Spree

I woke up very early last Sunday. I was so excited to buy my luggage bag. By God's grace I will be able to have my vacation on the last week of May and hope to attend my brothers perpetual vow on the 30th of May. Together with my room mate May, colleagues Benny and Vicky we went to Phsar Thmey Market or Central Market in Phnom Penh. We are quite scared of riding a motorcycle these past days, even it takes forever to wait for a tuk tuk we waited anyway.

As Benny's very good suggestion, we had our brunch in Soriaya Mall to ensure we will have the energy to roam around the market. And as a typical Filipino, we made sure we ordered rice. Within Soriaya Mall, we found these beautiful gold jewelries, but due to budget constraints I kept distance.

It took us a while before we find the luggage bags section. I found this nice bag but quite expensive compared to other designs. We tried to look in another stall but the price is really high. At least, May's haggle prowess cut the price from $80 down to $30. I also made some purchases for cotton t-shirts with Cambodian logo and who will forget key chains as souvenir items.

We finished our ''shopping spree'' at almost two o'clock. It was a bit tiring as the weather is so hot but I did enjoy it as I have with me the best shopping buddies you can find.

May - The Queen of Haggle

Benny - The Joker

Vicky - The Noisy One - hahaha sorry cannot think of a good label.

By the way, just want to share with you some exotic delicacies of Cambodia.

I'm not sure how they call it here, but based on my own vocabulary, I call it spiders, cockcroach, hmp..insects for short.
